Sorry for the lack of new posts recently, but I’ve been watching goggle eyed over what has been happening in politics this last week.  I know many of my readers aren’t American, and to spare them even more agony over an election they could probably care less about, I’ll continue on the next page.

I’ve watched and listened while the media tries its best to destroy the first woman to run for Vice President on a major ticket, I’ve cringed while I’ve been assaulted with all manner of lies (yes, outright lies) and gross distortions of not only this woman’s life, but her 17 year old daughter’s also.  

I expect this behavior from the subterranean goblins that infest the fringe of the left leaning liberal Democratic party.  I don’t expect, or accept, when the supposedly ‘respectable’ media takes the deranged rantings of leftist slime, and treats them as news.  Do not ever expect to make your claim of neutrality in journalism and be believed by the majority again.  You know who you are, and we do also, you are not journalists, you are partisian hacks who can type…barely.

And where are the so called feminists while all this is happening?  Hillary, we can’t hear you.  Sally?  The truth is out, modern feminists aren’t working for women’s rights, they’re working for the rights of liberal women only.  Don’t believe me?  Check it out, from NOW PAC Chair Kim Gandy :

Finally, as the chair of NOW’s Political Action Committee, I am frequently asked whether NOW supports women candidates just because they are women. This gives me an opportunity to once again answer that question with an emphatic ‘No.’ We recognize the importance of having women’s rights supporters at every level but, like Sarah Palin, not every woman supports women’s rights.

I’ve got news for you Kim, a real feminist understands that a woman’s view on abortion (even a Vice Presidential woman) doesn’t translate into an automatic repeal of Roe vs. Wade.  A real feminist respects a woman’s right to choose, even if they don’t agree with the choice.  A real feminist would be standing up in support of a woman, any woman and without respect to their political affiliation, who was being treated as Sarah Palin has been.  Then again, NOW’s favorite woman (who happens to be a Liberal Democrat) hasn’t bothered to stand up either.  

The vast majority of women in this country don’t deserve to call themselves feminists.  They are a disgrace to what the movement was about, and what it accomplished.  I was raised by a true feminist, a woman who believed in equality, who believed in herself, and believed in all women.  Not just the women who agreed with her, not just the women who voted ‘correctly’, and not just the women who made the same choices in life she did.  All women.

Sarah Palin deserves our support and respect no less than any other woman who has accomplished what she has, and she’s got mine.
